Day 3: Your Parents

These two lovelies are my parents.  3 kids, 2 grandkids and 25 1/2 years later, they're still going strong.  Now, they may not be parents of the year, or holding it all together, but they're perfect for me.  In my patriarchal blessing {x},  it talks of how my parents are one of my biggest knowledge banks that I have in my life.  It tells of how my mom has taught me how to be kind and to be a homemaker and how my dad taught me about the blessings of the priesthood.  They've also shown me that, even though life can suck balls sometimes,  it makes it all worth it when you and your best friend are sealed together for all time and eternity.  I love how they've always supported me in ways that they know that will help me to gain a better life for myself.  I couldn't even tell you how proud my dad is that I'm the first person in my family to be going to and graduating from a four-year university.  And you wanna know how I know? He bought at least 3 NAU shirts the first year I was up here and his collection is growing.  He didn't even have a MHS shirt until this Christmas when his 2 daughters graduated from Mesa and his youngest and only son is playing football there currently.  I may not show it very often, but I am so grateful for my parents, although they can annoy the poop out of me sometimes.  But that's what's family's for, right?
