Okay, this first one is going to sound corny, but Doctor Who makes me feel better.
If you've never heard about Doctor Who, or hasn't watched it, DO IT {it's on netflix}. Yeah, I won't deny that many a-tear has been shed because of this wonderful show, BUT IT IS SO GOOD {but a little strange at first. Watch the episode "Blink" in season 3 first and you'll be hooked}. I've been watching episodes every night this week because 1.) most of my shows are on a hiatus, or didn't have new episodes for the week, and 2.) I've been working nonstop {for the most part} on midterms this week. Yay for 3 essays on topics I barely know stuff about. But anyways, I have to put on something to watch so I don't get distracted from my other social sites that I attend to, and I'll work on my homework.
All in all, the Doctor makes any day better, even if he makes me cry.
The second that makes me happy is my cello or piano.
I just feel the world lift off my shoulders when I'm playing. Music in general makes me feel better. <3
David makes me feel better. {Sorry}
I absolutely LOVE getting letters from him. But I haven't received one since Christmas Eve, so I'm feeling like he's forgotten me. But I know that once I receive that blessed letter, everything will be right, if only for a little while. Here's a snippet of one of his letters, even though he's predicting that I'll married by the time he gets home {which isn't happening in the foreseeable future}.
Teaching makes me feel better. There's something about seeing children learn and their faces just beaming with pride that they're learning just gives me such joy and love.
Sometimes, the little things just make me feel better about the world and myself. I love that I get those little reminders: a hug, sunshine {because Flag is so dang cold all the time and gloomy}, or even a smile can make my day.
The world has seemed pretty dark lately {maybe just because I'm burdened with midterms right now} and those shining little things bring in the feeling of joy.
