The moment that I'm gonna talk is my last year of girl's camp. I was a member of the junior staff and I had a bunch more responsibilities than I had ever had at girl's camp. This year, was also kinda disheartening because it was my last year, and I was still in a bit of a tiff with my friends who were there. I really didn't feel like I belong there that year, until the last day.
Right before dinner on that last day, I see a man coming up the dirt road in a shirt and tie and I come to see my AP Government teacher, Mr. Michael Baser come to shape. I couldn't believe it!! Danica {the one in the picture with us} and I just started running toward him and screaming his name in joy. That moment was my absolute favorite during that year of camp. We were told that there was a special speaker that night, but we had no idea that it would be one of our favorite teachers ever!
Baser gave us a wonderful talk about, to be honest I can't even remember what it was about. But I do remember that in that moment, he made me feel that I was not alone, and my trials were a short time in the eternal perspective.
After Baser had finished his talk, and the night was over, he left us in tears saying that that night was the best night that he had had in a very very long time. And that moment was just a confirmation of what the gospel could do for us, for good.
